About Me

Hi, thank you for being here. My name is Samantha Spitzner and I'm excited to be running for Norcross City Council! I am a life-long Georgia resident, and have spent my entire adult life in this area. I have lived in the city of Norcross for 10 years, and in unincorporated Norcross for about 7 years before that. My partner and I live in a very small single-family home, with our very large rescue dog, Blue. I love the work I do as a professional event planner, putting on large conferences in various destinations around the country and abroad. My partner is a SCAD graduate who works as a freelance motion graphics/3D artist. There are many reasons why we choose to call Norcross home: the charm of the historic downtown district, the cultural richness of Buford Highway, the relative affordability of housing in the city, and the ease of access offered by I-85.

As someone who loves this city for all that it is, I can also see the beautiful potential of what it could become. I hope to offer a fresh voice to council, by advocating for stronger local voices, providing enthusiasm for smart growth in Norcross, and prioritizing safe, connected neighborhoods.

I hope to hear from you soon, as I am fully dedicated to ensuring that this is a community-led movement. I believe the city government should be accessible, responsive, and focused on making everyday life better for the people who live here. After all, Norcross is "A Place to Imagine," and I truly believe that there is no limit to what we can create if we all use our imagination on a bright future for this city.
